Are You Angry at God?

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and recently my friend Leslie lost her husband to another woman. Like that, he just left her. At first, Leslie’s shock and anger were directed solely against her husband, but then she turned her resentment toward God. She stopped going to church and found refuge in people other than Christians. 

Perhaps you know how Leslie feels. Someone has terribly wronged you and you don’t know where to turn. May I suggest you vent your feelings alongside those who wrote the Psalms? So many Psalms are filled with heartbreak, disappointment, lamenting and anguished questions from people who felt cheated by God. They felt forgotten by him. So, do not turn your back on God; turn your disappointment toward him. Do not turn inward; turn God-ward and get a jump start on hope and healing.
