A Wheelchair for Francis

Years ago, when I first met Francis Mugwanya, I was immediately inspired by his remarkable story.

As a child with disabilities in Uganda, he was unable to participate in school and so many other “typical” parts of life.

When he finally acquired a wheelchair, the gift meant so much that he purposed to help others just like himself.

Now, along with his wife Adrienne and three beautiful children, Francis runs The Father’s Heart Mobility Ministry where he continues to share the love of God to Ugandan people with disabilities. Over the years, Joni and Friends has partnered with The Father’s Heart Mobility Ministry in a number of Wheels for the World outreaches and internship programs. We are always so glad to be laboring alongside Francis.

Just recently Adrienne put together a children’s book titled A Wheelchair for Francis, and I’m delighted that it will allow more children to learn about his extraordinary life. Pick up a copy and share it with the children you know!
