Awhile back, I turned 70 and I am still delighting in reading the many encouraging notes you and others sent me – you’ve humbled me with your reflections, well-wishes, and your commitment to stand on the front lines with me at Joni and Friends. And on nearly every note, one thing stood out: you assured me of your prayers!
Faith may move mountains, but prayer moves God. And as we head deeper into 2020, my heart is bursting with gratitude to Jesus that you are praying. People struggling with disabilities are turning to him because you pray. Special-needs marriages are being healed because you pray.
Suffocating depression that hangs like a fog is dissipating because you are praying. Weary souls are being liberated from darkness because you care enough to pray!
Like you, I love praying big prayers.
Phillips Brooks once said, “You cannot think a prayer so large that God, in answering it, will not wish you had made it larger!”
Oh, how your prayers have encouraged me, so please pass along the blessing – send a personal prayer to a friend or family member who’s hurting. Or send a note to a mom who has a child with a disability.
