A Muslim Finds Christ

I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Mariama who grew up as a Muslim and dabbled in witchcraft. Mariama has polio and had walked on her hands and knees her entire life. But at our Wheels for the World outreach, she received a wheelchair and sat up for the first time. Mariama had a new life, but she sensed she needed something more.

Then a pastor said, “Mariama, let me tell you about Jesus. Someday your body will wear out, and you will die. But John 3:16 says, God so loved the world that he gave his Son that whoever believes in him will not die but have life everlasting.” Mariama feared her family would reject her, and a lifetime of the Muslim religion— enhanced by witchcraft, left her hungry for something more. But Mariama reached out for Jesus and he gave her a new life that day, and he can do the exact same thing for you.
