A Call for Volunteers

Having come to Christ in 1964 through Young Life, I was honored to be invited several years ago to serve on the Board of Young Life Capernaum, Young Life’s outreach to teens with disabilities.

Joni and Friends and Young Life Capernaum have been discussing for years how we might join forces to reach not only disabled teens, but their families, too. And we’ve come up with a fantastic plan: this summer will mark our first-ever Family Retreat held in partnership with Young Life Capernaum! It’ll be held at Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center in Washington State June 22-25.

It’s sure to be an incredible experience for teens and their families, but we need more volunteers to serve the special-needs families! We call our volunteers STMs for Short Term Missionaries; Young Life Capernaum calls volunteers buddies, but the important thing is we need them!
