CID & IWU Senior Partnership

The Christian Institute on Disability and Indiana Wesleyan University Senior Partnership

The Nature of the Partnership

Indiana Wesleyan University partners with the Christian Institute on Disability to offer undergraduate and graduate credit for our online Beyond Suffering Certificate Course to any student who is qualified and would like to have this option available. Students must have a high school diploma to earn three (3) units of transferrable undergraduate credit and have an undergraduate degree to earn three (3) units of transferrable graduate credit. In order to receive graduate credit for Beyond Suffering, please enclose proof of completion of your undergraduate degree (official transcript from degree granting institution) with your application and payment. The total cost for either undergraduate or graduate credit is $495.00 plus the cost of materials to be paid to the Christian Institute on Disability at registration. All students are solely responsible to verify with their educational institutions if they will accept the transferrable three credit hours from IWU for the Beyond Suffering course. Students will be responsible to follow through by completing the required paperwork in order to receive the credit hours. This partnership offers tremendous value to the students of The Christian Institute on Disability who are interested in earning college credit. We are very thankful for IWU's strong commitment to non-traditional forms of theological education and for the confidence they have in the mission and vision of Joni and Friends.

Indiana Wesleyan University is invigorated by the following commitments:

Indiana Wesleyan University is a Christ-centered academic community committed to changing the world by developing students in character, scholarship and leadership.

Indiana Wesleyan University, recognizing the world-changing impact of Christian higher education and the spectrum of student need, strives to provide educational programs that are accessible and adaptable. Residential undergraduate and graduate programs in a traditional term-based format are offered on the Marion, Indiana, campus. Undergraduate and graduate programs designed to meet the needs of adult learners are offered at regional Education Centers and class locations throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky, as well as nationally through the university’s extensive online infrastructure.

The primary value for Indiana Wesleyan University is Christlikeness. The challenge to follow Christ compels us to pursue a personal and professional lifestyle of Commitment, Leadership, Service, Stewardship, Innovation and Diversity.

Indiana Wesleyan University will prepare each student to become a world changer. We will accomplish this by drawing students into an integrated experience of intellectual challenge, spiritual growth and leadership development. Thus we will call students to Christian character, expect academic excellence, equip students for success in their vocations, mentor them for leadership and prepare them for service.

We seek to be a premier university changing the world for Christ.
