Wheels for the World - El Salvador

February 2 - February 19, 2012
  • February 2 - February 19, 2012
  • Estimated Cost: $1,600–$2,000

With an area slightly smaller than the state of Massachusetts and a population of over 7.2 million, El Salvador is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America. The dense population generates an overwhelming need for mobility equipment. Team members are needed to fit wheelchairs and other mobility equipment (seating specialists such as physical and occupational therapists), repair and adjust wheelchairs and other mobility equipment (mechanics), and serve in administration (support). Spanish interpreters are also encouraged to serve with us. Join us in this delightful country on the edge of the Pacific Ocean to enlighten and inspire Salvadorans affected by disability with the love of Christ. The cost for this outreach is all-inclusive. Team members may choose outreach dates of February 2-12, February 8-19, or may choose to stay for the entirety of February 2 - 19. Costs will vary depending on length of stay.

*We are currently only accepting applications for seating specialists.
