Wheels for the World in GuatemalaThe heart of the former Mayan civilization, this captivating Central American country is known for its volcanic terrain, colorful textiles, and natural beauty. The indigenous people are exceptionally warm and welcoming despite experiencing decades of economic inequality and challenging environmental shocks. Currently 75% of the population live below the poverty line, many of whom live with a disability. On this outreach, you will travel to multiple Guatemalan cities, meeting people’s basic need for mobility and sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ along the way. You will see how a wheelchair can be a transformative gift that brings hope and opportunity to an individual affected by a disability. Use your unique skillset to provide mobility equipment to those in need by serving as a seating specialist, mechanic, support staff, or interpreter. Outreach costs are all-inclusive.
