Charlie Wedemeyer was a high school and college football champion quarterback. He married his high school sweetheart and became a high school teacher and coach when he was struck with ALS, with a prognosis of one year to live. He lived for another 30 years, continuing to coach football after losing his ability to move or speak by calling plays that his wife Lucy would lip read and pass on to the assistant coach. After he could no longer coach, God opened the door for him as a highly sought Christian and motivational speaker, with Lucy lip-reading and being Charlie’s voice. This is an inspiring story of never giving up.
