Team MED

Team MED sends professional teams around the world to address the healthcare and personal needs of people with disabilities.

Joni and Friends recruits doctors, dentists, optometrists and rehab specialists, who volunteer their time to equip our international partners as they care for people with disabilities in their local areas. We also need physical or occupational therapists, special education teachers, speech therapists, and autism specialists, who wish to use their skills to serve others. However, Team MED is much more than simply a healthcare and training program. It’s a way of spreading the Gospel message. Our medical experts share the love of Christ with patients and connect them to churches in their community. Team MED is truly meeting needs and changing hearts forever. Quite often, our Team MED volunteers accompany a Joni and the Friends Wheels for the World outreach.
