Tim’s Place

Tim in his restaurantWhen was the last time you gave someone a hug? Tim, a young man with Down syndrome, actually owns a family restaurant where hugs are served up every day. Sure, real breakfast and lunch are also served, but Tim’s parents realized what people really want is a family restaurant that feels like, well… a family. So Tim gives his customers just that. At the front door, you’ll find him greeting them with a big hug—and, yes, hugs are even on the menu! Tim is setting an example for us all. In First Thessalonians chapter 5, Paul encourages us to “greet all the brothers and sisters with Christian love.” In short, Christians are supposed to show hospitality. Today, join Tim in giving someone a hug—whether it’s a longtime friend or maybe someone you just met who needs encouragement. It will warm their hearts and yours, too. Just ask Tim!
