Jonah’s Story

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Pastor Andy shared with me a story about his little boy, Jonah, who (because of a serious neurological problem and terrible seizures) had to have the left side of his brain removed. It was a difficult surgery, and Andy and his wife wondered if when Jonah recovered, he would be the same person. Well, when that little boy woke up 24 hours later in ICU, he looked terrible. But the first thing he did was give a big smile of recognition to his daddy, and then reach for his mommy’s bracelet (something he always liked to do).

What many would say is a medical marvel was, for God, one of his daily miracles. It’s an Ephesians chapter 5 miracle – God doing more than we could possibly imagine. Stories of overcomers like Jonah happen all the time at our ministry, so drop by joniandfriends.org and discover what makes these kids so special.
