From the Heart

Ken and I love invigorating young people to serve Christ by volunteering with Joni and Friends. Life is never lived in vain when you can lighten someone else’s pain – especially the pain and loneliness of a disability. These young people pictured at Family Retreat are discovering just that, as I remind them “… whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” (Proverbs 14:31)

Joni and Friends’ volunteers don’t have to be “experts,” and we’re not looking for people with degrees in rehab counseling. Twitter Facebook

You only need to be available and willing. People who serve with our ministry are folks who love Jesus, love praying and working hard, and enjoy making a difference in the lives of disabled children, adults and family members.

No doubt about it, we need you – our volunteers make up the backbone of our outreach, as well as the ‘touchstone’ for disabled people who come to Christ. So be blessed. Be inspired. Get engaged. And join the growing movement of young and old alike who are practicing Christianity with its sleeves rolled up through Joni and Friends. You will transform not only someone else’s life… but your own!
