Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson TadaAfter my diving accident, I fell into depression. I was a Christian, but I wasn’t a student of God’s Word. Oh, I knew the Bible had answers, but I did not know where to look. That’s when a friend offered to teach me how to study the Bible. And within two months, I was making word lists, researching themes, doing comparisons and crossreferencing texts. I learned how to use a lexicon. Boy, it made a difference. And now? I understand Psalm 119 where it says, “Your word is a light to my path.” I’m so grateful God humbled me through quadriplegia; because it caused me to hunger for the Word, and now it’s everything to meFriend don’t wait for an injury to drive you to study. Learn how to dissect the words of the Lord now. You’ll find all the hope you need in the precious pages of God’s Holy Word.
