Apples Of Gold
“Like apples of gold is a word fitly spoken in [the] right circumstances.” Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and most likely you’ve heard that proverb before and you’ve experienced it, right? I did the other day; I was at work, struggling all morning to get my breath; I was trying hard not to just give up. So, I mustered on as best I could, opening a few notes on my desk. And one of them was from a young girl in a wheelchair. She wrote, “I want you to know, Joni, that I appreciate your life. You’ve really helped me overcome a lot of things. Thanks for loving God and I hope you continue to serve Him with all your heart.” With those sweet words, I felt grace enter my heart, strengthening me to face my day. So, do you know someone today who needs help? Be the agent of God’s grace and send an encouraging word – it’ll be a precious apple of gold to your friend in need.
