Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.  Often during a prayer meeting, I hear people request finances, healing; prayer for a job or travel safety, or solutions to problems. It’s natural to pray that way. But a closer look at God’s Word shows a more divine way. Psalm 119 says that God’s Word renews our life. When we employ the Word of God in our prayers, our requests line up with His priorities. True, someone may need a job, but he may need to lean on others for a while. Yes, someone may be ill, but he may need to develop trust in Christ before he gets better. Someone may be in financial need, but God wants them to learn how to get by on less. Adding God’s Word to our praying will bring His power to our problems So, memorize a few verses for your next prayer meeting, and the power of Scripture will be ready on your lips.
