Zachery Holler

zachery hollerMeet Zachery Holler and his mother, Kim, who often serves as his interpreter – Zach is a quadriplegic, blind and also deaf; people communicate with him by ‘signing’ into his hands while mouthing their words close to his face! But all this does not deter him (he earned his degree from Wright State University). Zach heard about our Joni and Friends team in Ohio and asked for help in starting a Disability Ministry at his church in Dayton. Joni and Friends is providing the training, and now, the congregation is fully onboard, rallying around Zachery to make their church accessible and welcoming to special-needs families. Zach’s disability may be very challenging, but the Holy Spirit keeps shining brightly through this remarkable man. And that’s why he’s an inspiration to me!
