Your Calling and Inheritance
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and the apostle Paul – well, actually the Lord himself – prayed a great prayer for us in Ephesians chapter 1. He says that he wants us to know the hope to which we’ve been called, and to know the riches of His glorious inheritance, and to know what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us. He’s not praying that we get the calling, or become heirs, or receive power. No, the Bible is saying that you and I already have the calling; we have the hope, and we have the riches and the power of God toward us. The trouble is, we forget it. Actually, more likely, we aren’t even aware of all the great things – the great hope, riches, power – that are at our disposal. But God wants us to know these things. So, live large, friend. Get to know all the many glorious things that are yours in Christ. Jesus has secured for you so many great benefits to help you live as you should. Check it out for yourself today in Ephesians chapter 1.
