Even though I’m paralyzed, I know one day I’ll stand on my feet – yahoo!

I'm Joni Eareckson Tada. Even though I’m paralyzed, I know one day I’ll stand on my feet – yahoo! Just knowing that this wheelchair is not forever, that the battle will one day be over, makes the load a lot lighter. Soon, suffering will be a thing of the past. So join me today, friend: strengthen your weak knees, let God fill your heart with courage. One day you and I will reign with the Lord, sorrow and sighing will flee away, and everlasting joy will crown our heads (it says in the Bible). With all those good things and more coming your way, tighten your grasp on the hem of the Savior’s robe. Be patient in the trial; suffer long with the people around you. Memorize more scriptures, obeying more instantly. Because one day we will stand before Christ, and I want us to be able to say together, “Lord Jesus? Just five minutes with you here in heaven wipes out all the pain of earth.”
