I can revel in moments of beauty and times of companionship with Jesus...

I can revel in moments of beauty and times of companionship with Jesus, but I can’t hold onto them.  Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada  So, what do I do when I am swept into wonder?  The answer is, I savor those moments.  I humbly thank God for those moments of beauty… And then I let them go.  I remember a clear, cold night when, after searching the stars to find the constellation of Ursa Major, I finally located it.  And I was absolutely astounded at how huge it was, far beyond just the Big Dipper, it spread over half the night sky.  I was breathless.  But as enthralled as I was, I had to let the moment go.  It didn’t make me sad; rather, Psalm 143 tells me to gather those moments as precious memories, and then reflect on them, meditate on all the works of God's hands.  It’s a great way to savor the goodness of God.
