Setting an Example

Ryleigh

I love it when public school kids think creatively about sharing their faith with classmates.  When Ryleigh Farmer chose to depict me as her historical hero for a school project, it gave her the chance to share Jesus in her public school classroom. She prepared with excellence, memorizing her entire presentation, dressing up like me with a blonde wig and all, and even gave her report sitting in a wheelchair.  Ryleigh did not hold back about all the things God had done in my life.  She saw an opportunity to share Christ with her classmates and she grabbed it.  Who knows how many young friends of hers might now read the Joni book?!  It’s why I commended her with these courageous words from First Timothy where it says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example….” Keep it up, Ryleigh!
