Sunday Reflections

Recently, while dining with my coworkers on a restaurant patio, we were talking about reclaiming Christian symbols that the world has ‘hijacked.’ That’s when I noticed little rainbows on our metal table and on the shirts of my friends (the setting sun was refracting through the patio glass). My friend said, “Joni, you have rainbows all over you, too! “I couldn’t see them, and so they snapped this iPhone photo to show me. The Lord said, “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth” (Genesis 9:16). Next time you see a rainbow, remember the awesome covenant between God and you – and should He ‘touch’ you with one, then bless Him all the more!
