I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Have you ever pleaded with God in prayer? The dictionary definition of pleading is to present your case, like in a court. When you and I plead to God in prayer, we approach the courts of heaven and come prepared to defend our petitions for God to act out His will in a certain way. We back up our prayers with scripture; after all, God asks us to plead with Him in Isaiah chapter 1: "'Come now,’” he says. “’Let us reason together,' says the Lord." That's the way I like to pray when I plead on the behalf of people with disabilities. I know God has a special heart for those who suffer affliction, and I’d love to plead that before God in prayer, telling Him how I believe He will be glorified as He pours out His mercy on them. So, next time you pray, try defending your case in prayer.  It's a bold thing to do. But just remember, He's the One who said, "Come now, let us reason together."
