Playing Piano

When I was a teenager I loved sitting down at the piano after school.

I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When I was a teenager I loved sitting down at the piano after school. I’d throw aside my school books, pull out my favorite piece, and just feel my fingers on the cool, ivory keys. But what made it special was that often my father would slip into the living room to listen to me play. Every once in a while, I’d look over my shoulder and see Daddy smile. Oh, it felt so good to be doing something that pleased him! And isn’t it the same with our Heavenly Father? Colossians 1:10 says, “Live a life worthy of the Lord that you may please Him in every way.” So whatever you’re doing today... whatever gift you’re exercising or grace you’re extending, look over your shoulder. You just might see the Lord Jesus being pleased in you. And if you’re living a life worthy of Him, it should bring a smile to your face, too.
