This is Joni Eareckson Tada and my co-worker, Mike Yuen, is a great photographer. He asked to meet with me to look over some of his recent photographs for display. I almost declined because I was tired… my back was hurting… I had a headache (am I complaining enough here?). Anyway, I decided to meet with him and as Mike slowly flipped page after page of snapshots of disabled people, in each face I saw pain replaced by a happy smile. It was a little convicting and before long, my own headache had disappeared... I had nothing to complain about. The Bible says, “Do everything without complaining…” Friend, I need to remember – you need to remember – there’s never a cause to complain. There’s always someone trusting God through the pain… and often they prove it with a smile.
