As you know, Iraq has been ripped apart by war and many refugees have fled.

I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a story from the Middle East. As you know, Iraq has been ripped apart by war and many refugees have fled. One of those refugees is 82-year-old Fatima. When war broke out near her home, she fled in middle of night. During her race to escape, she tripped and fell, breaking her hip. When she arrived at a Jordanian refugee camp, she sought medical help, but there were just too many people in need. For five months, Fatima struggled with pain from her broken hip. The injury left her completely unable to walk. Thankfully, her nephew heard that Wheels for the World was coming to a nearby town, and soon, Fatima had her very own wheelchair. Oh, the joy! God had not abandoned her. And her new wheelchair, given in the name of Jesus Christ, proved it. Learn more about Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org.
