Casey Reds

Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada and I love horses. Growing up my sister Kathy owned a quarter-horse named Casey Reds. Although Reds was a beautiful sorrel gelding, as a colt he had been abused by his former owners and you could detect sadness in his eyes. He had lost his spirit. Sadly, that’s true for many people. A lot of people are like Casey Reds. They have no understanding about what they’ve suffered or why; and without understanding, there is great sadness in their lives. But Proverbs 2 says, “… if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding … then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” So friend, “Cry aloud for understanding” and ask God to show you His wisdom regarding the sad things that have happened in the past. God doesn’t want you to live a life of solemn resignation. Rather, embrace life in glad celebration. God's in charge!
