Job Responsibilities
1. Plan and lead classes using Beyond Suffering Study Guide and Course Reader CD-ROM.
Before the course: Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the Beyond Suffering material.
For each lesson:
- Take attendance.
- Administer class work.
- Play the video teaching segments and answer student questions.
- Plan and teach the “Relevance” and “Practice” of each lesson.
2. Work with students to encourage faithful attendance, class participation and completion of work.
3. For students seeking the Certificate of Completion, evaluate all materials and projects upon completion. At the end of the course, calculate final grades and report them to the Christian Institute on Disability (CID) in order to receive students’ certificates.
4. If a student is taking Beyond Suffering simply for self-study or enrichment, it is not necessary for the student to turn in assignments or for the facilitator to report the student’s participation to the CID. Reporting to the CID is only necessary for certification or for college credit.
5. Be available to provide counsel and prayer for students as they engage in ministry.
