What is the Role of a Leader?

As an approved course leader, you may recruit qualified teachers and/or lecturers to facilitate spe­cific lessons in this curriculum. Volunteer teachers must complete an Application for Volunteer Instructors. This information should be used in properly vetting a volunteer and should be maintained for your records. (Vetting is a process of checking a person’s background and qual­ifications for a position.) Volunteer applications do not need to be submitted to Joni and Friends.

Leaders are responsible for implementing courses by encouraging and recording student at­tendance, assisting students in understanding and working together on the curriculum, teaching implications and applications of the core content, helping students select appropriate ministry projects, and grading and evaluating student work.
