Andrea’s Wheelchair

Andrea is eight years old and lives with her grandparents. When she was just a baby, her parents gave up trying to care for her. Why? Because Andrea has a disability and can’t walk. Andrea’s grandparents love her very much and work hard to take care of her. But they still have to leave her alone when they go to work. She can’t go to school and there is no one else to stay with her. Well, this is what happened before Andrea got a wheelchair from Joni and Friends. Now that Andrea has a wheelchair, she doesn’t need to be carried and she can go places on her own! This week more kids like Andrea will be getting their first wheelchairs in the country of Cuba.
