Joni and Friends Family Retreat at Shawnee State Park, located in the rolling hills of Shawnee State Forest, provides a safe and accepting place for your family to be refreshed and encouraged, as you laugh, play, worship, and sometimes cry together. You'll be able to get away and enjoy God's creation…you'll meet and fellowship with others who face similar concerns…you'll build lasting memories together as a family. Hope will be restored…and you will leave knowing that God does have the perfect plans for you and your family.

Joni and Friends Family Retreats provide a dynamic and unique opportunity to live out your faith. In just one week you can reach out in a meaningful way to one of the most unloved, unreached people groups right here in our own communities - people affected by disability.

Our past short term missionaries have ranged from college students to grandparents and both play a vital role.

You must be 16 years or older to serve as a short term missionary.

Families are invited to serve together if approved by the retreat director.
