The Charlotte office of Joni and Friends sponsors two separate weeks of Family Retreats at Bonclarken Conference Center in Flat Rock, NC, located 25 miles south of Asheville.

We are all about bringing hope, healing and rejuvenation to the ENTIRE family affected by disability. Families of all sizes, races and backgrounds come to us for five days of fun, fellowship, encouragement and spiritual rejuvenation in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. They leave with new friendships, lasting family memories and a renewed hope in God.

Volunteers (Short Term Missionaries) will spend time with the disabled family member, giving respite and relaxation for the whole family. Wherever possible, activities are designed to be accessible for most disabilities.

Family Prices		Volunteer Opportunities
Ages 0 – 3: Free Ages 4 – 10 : $200 Ages 11 and above: $350 Attendant rooming with family: $350 A non-refundable $50 deposit is required with your registration. The balance of fees may be paid up to two weeks prior to retreat. For special financial arrangements, please contact Retreat Director.		We are looking for volunteers who wish to become the hands and feet of Jesus to the families that will becoming to retreat. A Joni and Friends volunteer should be: 16 years old A committed Christian A team player A servant at heart Willing to learn about disabilities Flexible and Kind Able to have a GREAT time!! Our volunteers arrive a day before the families for training, team-building and preparation. Some of the ways our volunteers serve our families: Serving a family by being a buddy to a child or teen with a disability. Assisting and befriending an adult with a disability. Assisting a team leader or serving in a support role. Volunteers are not required to provide personal or medical care.
