Thankyou for meeting the needs of our wounded warriors. I have three sons who have served in the military and in the Middle East. They came home unharmed. It brought me to tears to see what these ones have suffered to serve. But, also thanking GOD for healing their bodies, minds and emotions from what they went through.

Thank you for posting this video, it is a blessing to hear and see people Praising the Lord and accepting affliction from God for Good and for a little while. These are the testimonies we need to see and to hear. I wish we have videos like this on TV on the news after the Tornadoes in Missouri and Oklahoma, etc. I heard only two people giving thanks to Jesus because they claimed to Him during the trial time. I would like to see any video if you have during Joni's prayer at D.C. Bless you all and thank you.

Greetings Joni, I have a friend who is a wounded warrior. He is a Viet Nam era veteran. He was a medic who experienced things no one should have to experience. He is a consecrated Christian who I admire very much. He is one of the few people from any Faith that I have ever encountered who actually walks his talk; or as he is constantly reminding me, only trying to walk his talk, giving it over to God, sometimes fifteen minutes at a time. He is a Christian. I am Baha'i, and we agree on three things. We believe Jesus is exactly who He says He is. We believe in respecting other people's point of view. And, we both admire you. (My friend has sent comments to your blog from time to time. He also sends me links to your site occasionally.) Because he is a man of Faith and, like you, has to deal daily with his wounds, he often finds himself alone, working in this world virtually without a net. You and your mission are an important part of what support he does have. You are touching the heart and inspiring the Faith of a good and honorable man. Thank you. God bless you (as He obviously already does.)

I wrote this lyric Wounded Healer and sent it to Joni and Friends. I got a favorable response. The lyric is about how there is deliverance greater than a physical miracle: that is 'My grace is sufficient for thee ... 'My strength perfect in weakness'. Wounded Healer, my lyric, is about Cindy, who has Cerebral Palsy, at a Family Retreat, sang Amazing Grace, through her electric voice box on wheelchair. Feeling good about the lyric, I put it on a fundamentalist's Christian website. A man wrote me back and urged me not to make the same mistake he had, that Satan is the enemy; Satin is a fabric. But before I could read the word 'fabric' … I reacted (to that Gospel that says God has to heal you, if have enough faith) and told him if he prayed over Joni, I'm sure she would be healed: problem was though, he (the man) wouldn't be! His healing, at a deeper level, about Grace, would be absent. A second time I wrote back and apologized. I saw ‘Wounded Warrior’ on Joni’s site ... I am a disabled Veteran ... my ‘Wounded Healer’ lyric incident came to mind. Thank you ... Phillip Brown

Joni ~ this is the first I knew of the Wounded Warrior Get Away. How wonderful. I spent several years with my husband in and out of our local Veteran's Hospital. Our veterans are some of the most selfless people you could ever meet. They step right up to help each other, in spite of and because of their own experiences. I never once left that place without feeling overwhelming gratitude and humility. My husband won his race in 2004 and went home to be with the Lord. Viet Nam Agent Orange. But I am a changed person because of meeting the people who have served our country. Thank you for offering them this healing time.

I know your Mom, Rosemary, from the Lyons Pubic Library as I worked in the Stayton Library--we have prayed for your recovery all this time! Lord bless you and keep you! Karen Mills
