On Monday, January 14, I will be speaking to the students of Westmont College in Santa Barbara – it’ll be their weekly chapel service in the gymnasium. I love these opportunities to underscore the goodness of God in a world filled with suffering (a topic many young people struggle with). Please ask God to give us traveling mercies today as we drive to Santa Barbara, a good night’s rest, and then refreshed hearts as I address the 10:00 am convocation. Ask the Lord to open the hearts of these students… I want them to understand the extent of His sovereignty over suffering (and I would love it if lots would come and intern with us at Joni and Friends)! The Bible verse for this trip? “God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne” (Psalm 47:8).
