Wednesday, July 7th Update:

I enjoyed a heartwarming visit from my quadriplegic friend, Vicky Olivas, who underwent surgery for cancer several years ago. Just seeing her sitting in her wheelchair with her bright smile and happy spirit was such an encouragement – my friend is a true example that although “outwardly we may be wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day-by-day.” Hearing Vicky’s testimony of surviving surgery and a challenging recovery was, to me, a blessed assurance that God will help me ‘wheel’ through the same valley and come out all the better for it. The best part was hearing her soft and sweet voice as she prayed for me and Ken – because Vicky has ‘been there,’ I know her intercessions have a special audience with the Lord Jesus. Speaking of prayer, I’m healing fine… no sign of infection… swelling is decreasing… my physical strength is up… and hopes are high. Thank you, dear friend, for lifting me and Ken up before God’s Throne!
