Flower in waterWith so many examples of healing in the New Testament, it's no wonder we struggle when God chooses to say "no" or "wait" to our earnest requests for physical healing. I know I have struggled – not only when I was first injured and became a quadriplegic, but not long ago when I began experiencing chronic pain. Please know that God is aware of your fear, your sorrow, your despair, your longings, and your crushing need. Read this bright perspective on healing and be encouraged, friend!

Joni, I have been sitting here in tears just now because I am in such physical pain. After wiping my tears, I decided to look on your website and maybe find an inspirational message or video to read or watch. Boy, does God ever answer prayer!!!! I know as a Christian that it was no coincidence that the first thing I saw when I opened your website was the article entitled "Waiting to Be Healed?" I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that God put that article in front of me. Thank you, Joni, for writing it. What a comforting message!!!! It is so true. I want to know that God is not only holding my life together, but holding ME as well. Thank you, too, for the reminder of the precious promise found in Romans 8:28. I love that verse, and another verse that I truly love is Jeremiah 29:11. Even though I don't know you personally, Joni, I am ALWAYS encouraged and inspired by you, and I praise God for your unfailing faithfulness to Him in spite of all of the pain and suffering that you've had to endure. May God's richest blessings always be on you and Ken and your ministry. I love you, Joni!!

This is beautiful. You are such an example of someone whose soul's capacity has been enlarged by suffering. I am so grateful for your story and persevering faith. You came to East Germany when I was 9 (in 1987) and planted a seed for a different kind of faith in my young heart. I am so grateful for you- I was at a women's brunch recently where we were asked "Which women inspires you to be a world changer" and I immediately thought of you. I recently wrote a blog post about your 1987 visit if you want to check it out: http://astridmelton.com/?p=298 Praying for continued courage and strength in your journey!

I must say that the Lord Jesus led me to your website just at the right time. The "Waiting to Be Healed?" blog is a very helpful and heart-warming reading. I am a hemorrhagic stroke survivor for over six years now; and I have a right-side paralysis. I had the stroke when I was 36 years old. The Lord has always been there for me; He kept me alive and I am eagerly, patiently waiting to be healed on His perfect time.
