Mennonite Choir singing at the IDCMennonite Choir with Joni and Ken
The Troyer family have been serving at our Spruce Lake Family Retreats for 12 years. This week, Matt Troyer and his sister, Missy, stopped by the International Disability Center with their Mennonite friends (they’re here in SoCal to help out with VBS at a local church). During their visit, they filled the IDC lobby with songs of praise – it was beautiful! From here, Matt will head to Mission Springs to try out volunteering at a different Family Retreat, other than Spruce Lake.  Praise God for young people like these who are practicing Christianity with its sleeves rolled up at all our Family Retreats this summer!

The Troyers are a beautiful family and I know their Mom and Dad back home in PA must be very proud! We first met them in 2000 or 2001 when they were a Spruce Lake family. The very next year, so many of the kids were back, serving as STMs. This goes to show the great heart they have as a family!

Dear Joni, How wonderful it is to see these young people sing their praises at the IDC Family Retreats!! I wish I was there to hear them sing in the IDC Lobby too...I bet it was beautiful and moving. I hope and pray God will open new doors for them to sing for new hearts/souls in need of hearing their Praise, Honor and Glory to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God's Word. God's Blessings and Graces to them all as they practice Christianity with their sleeves rolled up. Mary Perini

What a joyful noise that must have been! Praying, praising and rejoicing with you as the vibrant and vitally important ministry of Joni and Friends continues to reach many families affected by disability for Jesus and His Kingdom! And...a belated but very sincere happy, blessed anniversary to you, dearest Joni and Ken!
