A Very Unique Ministry…

Carolyn packing Joni's bagAs a quadriplegic, I am only able to do so much – but that means others can chip in and be “my hands.” Take my neighbor, Carolyn. She’s a lively believer in Christ, plus she has a very unusual ministry: she packs and unpacks my suitcases whenever I travel (and takes things to the laundry to prepare me for my next trip :-). Packing suitcases and hanging bags may seem mundane, but Carolyn sees it as a valuable and necessary ministry; she’s part of a wonderful team who serve God by helping one of the ‘least of the brethren’ (yep, that’s me). Ephesians 4:11-13 says God prepares people like Carolyn “for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” So keep your eyes open this summer for ways you can serve the Lord Jesus by helping people with disabilities. And if you need any ideas, contact us here at Joni and Friends!
