An Update on Chuck Colson

chuck colson and joniThis morning when I arrived at work, I received an update from Jim Liske, CEO of Prison Fellowship Ministries, on the condition of Chuck Colson. He wrote, "It is with a heavy, but hopeful heart that I share with you that it appears our friend, brother, and founder will soon be home with the Lord. Chuck's condition took a decided turn yesterday." May I ask you to join Ken and me and all of us here at Joni and Friends in praying that God, even at this late date, will miraculously restore Chuck to full health? What a treasure this man is in the kingdom; his is the voice of a prophet to our society, constantly calling the people of this nation to repentance, to safeguarding the sanctity of life, religious liberties, and the institution of marriage. Also, ask God to comfort and encourage his wife Patty and the family (this photo was recently snapped at the Wilberforce Weekend where Chuck took ill).

Father God, Be with our dear friend and your faithful servant Chuck Colson in this very trying time. Your will be done Father but I ask that you heal Chuck now so that he may continue your work. We also continue to pray for his family.

Father in Heaven, may you be with Chuck Colson right now Lord. Bring a miraculous healing to him Lord that you would allow him to bear testimony of Your Divine Healing and Grace. We trust You and know that all of our lives are in Your Hands. To the Glory of our Lord that His Kingdom would grow.

My Prayers go up to the Lord for Chuck to have a miraculous recovery. If God chooses to take him at this time, he will be free of pain/long suffering. God knows when to call his children back to him. It sounds like he certainly will meet the Lord and the Lord well say" Well Done MY Child" Prayers go out to friends and family for comfort knowing he is in Jesus's arms. Possibly the dearest memories of my service to God was on the staff of Prison Fellowship. The news of his probable passing touches me deeply, for he was both a friend and mentor, as well as "boss." What an incredible legacy God has formed in this man. I treasure every moment we worked together.

Thanks for your sharing and testimony, I'll pray for Mr.Chuck Colson's condition and his wife Patty and family. I believe our Almighty God in Heaven will cure Mr. Colson with His power.

Joni, Chuck Colson has been and still is ,an inspiration in my life-I am praying for the Lord's will to be done in his life, knowing and grateful that He is in control of all things! And I praise God for the testimony of your life, as you have been a source of continuing encouragement to me, and many others around the world!
