True Woman Blog Post

As the political climate heats up, I find myself praying for the United States more than ever and I know I’m not alone. It makes me thankful for ministries like True Woman who has been equipping and encouraging the church to commit to praying for our country. And today, I am privileged to be a part of their ministry through a post I wrote for their blog. It’s called Word-Woven Prayers. In my times of prayer, I find them to be most powerful when I include the word of God. As Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword” When we include God’s promises in our praise, confessions and petitions it cuts straight to the heart of the matter. God’s word is truth so it exposes deception reminding us of facts like… the victory belongs to the Lord (Proverbs 21:31) and that He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else (Ephesians 1:21).
