Through the Bible in a Year: Join Us!

The year 2012 is only days away and, with it, Ken and I will be restarting our annual practice of reading-through-the-Bible-in-a-year. This will mark our fifth year of reading through the entire Bible in 12 months and we are amazed at all the insights God has given us through this wonderful Bible-reading habit (listen to Ken and I talk about it on a recent radio program). This past year, we used a chronological reading plan, and Ken and I both agree it really made the redemption story come alive in a fresh way.

We challenge you to join with us in 2012 by committing to use the chronological reading plan I've posted on my radio page. Should you decide to take the challenge, let me know either by posting a message on my radio page or Joni's Blog – this way, Ken and I can be praying for you as together we get deeper into God's Word in 2012!

I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading through the bible with you and following it chronologically since the beginning of the year. Thank you for posting the calendar to follow along. It is a blessing to have this method of reading.

Thank you for posting the Chronological Bible-in-a Year Reading Schedule. I just heard from a friend today that you had it on your web site. I now can sit down each morning and start out my day with reading it in the proper order. Again, thanks.

I live in Gold Coast, Australia and often listen to your podcasts. Heard your recent radio program on reading the bible in a year and the challenge of doing it with your husband. My husband Ben and I thought it would be a great to do this together so we started following your reading schedule this week and we are loving it. Please pray for us because every time we have tried to start something like this before we soon get overwhelmed by our daily activities and we never finish. It would be such a blessing and joy if this time it would be different and we accomplish what we set out to do in this area. I just thank the Lord for your life and the inspiration you are to me. My husband and I read through the entire bible for the first time last year. We want to do it again this year, but have had trouble getting started. This seems like the perfect way to accomplish it, from a different perspective. Thank you for posting the schedule. God be praised!
