A Visit from 'Sue Thomas: FB Eye!'

I found your site and the post about Sue Thomas through an odd circumstance. I am desperately in need of and searching for a truly good job. I was researching an organization because they have a job posting of interest near my home. In the process, I discovered that, "Joni & Friends-Wheels for the World" is listed as a partner which led me here. I am "oral deaf" and while I have never heard of Sue Thomas until reading about her here (& visiting her site) today, I am compelled to learn more about her and her work. I used to work training Hearing Dogs while I attended Purdue. I have a feeling that Sue and I have things in common. Sometimes inspiration comes to us in wildly unimaginable ways and today, you and Sue Thomas have already inspired me to seek God with an attitude of expectation and anxiety, not of desperation, frustration, and anger. I will have to get the video or book about Sue Thomas at my first opportunity to afford it. Meanwhile, thank you for everything you do! You have always been and continue to be an inspiration.

I loved the show but I did not know it was actually a true story That is amazing. I am so glad they made it in to a series. I still watch the reruns whenever there is one on.

I thoroughly watching that show a few years ago and still see it from time to time. I especially enjoyed the very prominent references to God.

I am so excited to hear about this. Thank you for sharing about Sue Thomas. When I was in college my ASL instructor invited us over to her home to watch "Sue Thomas: FB Eye" when it first came out. It was a great show, and I'm excited to get to know more about Sue Thomas now.

Dear Joni, How exciting to have Sue Thomas come and speak to your staff. I have taught deaf kids for 36 years and she is such a wonderful example of accomplishment to my students! I so enjoyed her book and all the episodes of the tv show. Along with 2 other friends, I visited your center this past summer. On our tour I remember seeing an "I love you" figure on your shelf in your studio!! I jumped for joy!

We enjoyed Sue when she was here in our church in Vermont. I especially enjoyed having her sing "Silent Night"
