The ‘Work’ of Spring

Spring is in the air and in just a few weeks, April showers will bring May flowers – with the help of sweating and spading, working and weeding, digging, fertilizing, planting and watering. Someone once said, “Spring is winter defrosting,” and he was right. Each of us has experienced cold and bitter seasons of suffering – but that’s when the Holy Spirit does his best working and weeding in our lives. It’s not pleasant, but “Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it,” says Hebrews 12:12. This season, I know that God will be using my wheelchair to do a deeper “work” on my character. But just knowing there’s a hopeful, bountiful harvest on the horizon? It’ll be more than worth it. :-). Join me in welcoming God’s Spirit to do a deeper planting in your life this spring!
