Joni in front of handicap parking signWe are halfway through 2012 and, for me, that means regular six-month checkups. Earlier this week it was a blood draw, and tomorrow, it will be a PET scan. Please be praying that the scan will show up any little, renegade cancer cells that may be hanging around (if there are any to be found). Last week when I went into the radiology lab for a mammogram, the waiting room was a little crowded – thankfully, they had a handicap parking place :-). I'll be certain to let you know the results of all these tests – and, oh, lest I forget, THANK YOU for your wonderful words of congratulation earlier this week on my 30th wedding anniversary with Ken! I LOVED reading your comments on my blog :-).

Dear Joni, I will pray for your PET scans to be completely cancer free. Your faith, hope, love, courage, compassion, strength and kindness greatly inspire me on a daily basis. I pray God's Graces cover you and Ken as you wait for these test results. I know I see Christ's love and light through your life, marriage, books, films, radio and ministry. I pray God will bless you and Ken (and us--the World) with your faith filled life and ministry for many many more years to come. In Christ's Love and Fellowship, Much Love from Mary Perini

You are such an amazing person. You were and still are such an inspiration to me. I have followed your "story" since your accident. I happened to see your photo years ago in a magazine and started reading about you. I especially love your close relationship to the Lord! Do you still have your radio program? Love, June "The Baptist" Ps. 16:11

Thank you Joni for sharing your life story with all of us over the years. It is a tremendouse encouragement for me to hear the truth of God's word and His promises as they apply to your life! I am glad to have found this blog of yours so that I can leave you a message -- and I have prayed for you today -- and trust that God will continue to do His best work through you and for you! I love your comment about our suffering being jewels in His crown! My suffering is not the same as yours -- but I trust you know the crushing attacks of satan and his demons are on the physically able as well as the physically disabled. Please know that although we've never met -- I am truly thankful to God for getting to know you as a sister in Christ. And I will no doubt "See you at the house!" May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you and Ken in all things...in His love.
