It's Monday, November 21, and Ken and I are heading down the freeway for Biola University – we will be speaking at the "Theology of Suffering and Disability Ministry" course of study which our Joni and Friends' Christian Institute on Disability helped design. This is our chance to strike a spark in the hearts of these students to join us in reaching the world's 1 billion people with disabilities for Christ. Ask God to anoint our message… And awaken the students to the need and how they can make a difference for the sake of the Gospel!

Hello Joni, I was studying clinical psychology at Rosemead Graduate School Of Professional Psychology a part of Biola 1979-1981. I was down because of fear of losing an important relationship home in Finland. You talked at Biola some time 1979-80 and made a deep encouraging influence on me as you said that the thing that our enemy has planned to destroy us might be the gratest blessing in the hands of our Heavenly Father! So it went with me as well. I was priviledged to meet you even in the big audience of College students as I came far away from Finland to study in the USA. I have read many of your books and liked them. I am reading "A Place of Healing " at the moment and it is encouraging as well to me and to my friend, who also have physical pain at the moment. Thank you for sharing your battle and your thoughts in the midle of it all.

Is there any way we can hear what you had to say to the students? So many around me are suffering with cancer and disabilities - thought it may be a help.

Met you at BIOLA when my daughters went there. Oldest was on student disability council, and I enjoyed sitting with you at a luncheon and visiting. My girls still deal with their "invisible" disability of dislocating knees. Glad to see you continuing to educate on disabilities at BIOLA. It was fun to learn you liked Camp 18 and Cannon Beach conference center.
