PET Scan Update

Ken and JoniMany of you assured me of your prayers as Ken took me to my PET scan on Friday morning – it was incredibly cumbersome getting me in my big wheelchair up into the imaging trailer (in the parking lot) and then, onto the narrow little table at the base of the big imaging tube. There was absolutely no room, but my husband is SUCH A TROOPER! Thanks to the grace of God, Ken kept a great attitude through it all. Late this afternoon we meet with my medical oncologist to find out the results of the scan as well as blood tests earlier last week. If the report is clear, we will head out this weekend for Mission Springs Family Retreat! We'll keep you posted, friend, “For we are God's fellow workers” (1 Corinthians 3:9)!

Thank you for glorifying God in this season of struggle....you are helping me remember to do the same. So grateful that HE uses all things together for good to those who love HIM. I will praise HIM in the storm....even when the storm is long, hard and seems interminable. YOUR WITNESS HAS HELPED ME....THANK YOU SO MUCH, JONI....with all the glory to God!

I am praying for your health. I hope you will get to attend TW 12. The last time I got to see you was at the live broadcast of NDP at Moody church in Chicago. I believe that was the early 90s. I remember how Christ's love just glowed through your face. It will be gteat to see you again, Lord willing.

I understand where you are coming from. I just had my one year PET/CT scan and it was good!! No cancer detected. I had a recurrance of breast cancer last year after 14 years free of it. Praise the Lord.
