joni and kenI'm thanking God for the gift of another day -- Tuesday's PET scan results just came back "NED;" in other words, "no evidence of disease." Obviously friends were praying and I was DEEPLY touched by the comments you wrote on my blog and Facebook page. I don't take these test results for granted – it reminds me to be a wise steward of each day God gives me, for we all have a purpose in our own generation (Acts 13:36 says that “David served the purpose of God in his generation and then he slept"). Well, it's not my turn to "sleep" yet :-), so I am praying Psalm 90:16-17 in 2013: "May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us — yes, establish the work of our hands." After all, there's much to do in the kingdom of Christ, especially at Joni and Friends. And my prayer for you? May he establish the work of your hands, as well!

Just read your blog entries again and am so thankful for the ministry God has entrusted to you. Praise God for the good results of the PET scan. May He continue to bless you with grace and strength for each day. You are a blessing in my life and so many others around the world.

Dear Joni Thank you for your wonderful positive attitude! We were told in church last night that we all have a job to do, and this ties up with what you have to say. My husband also has to face a CT scan this week - he has a secondary growth on the lung and I thank you for being such an inspiration to us. Lots of love and God bless Joy Phelps (South Africa)

So glad your test results are clear. I have had cancer last year and believe the Lord was with me through it all and I am cured. I am looking for His will and what He would have me do now that my days are extended. You have been an inspiration to me ever since I read your first book. Your life is a great witness. Love Shirley
