Joni and Ken cake cutting at their weddingJoni and Ken: An Untold Love Story book

As I look at this heartwarming photo of Ken and me from our wedding day 31 years ago, little did we realize how difficult marriage would be with quadriplegia. But the last three decades have shown us how wonderfully sustaining God's grace really is. So on July 3rd, Ken and I will enjoy a romantic dinner at Grissini’s Restaurant (we mention this favorite haunt in the first chapter of Joni & Ken: An Untold Love Story). And over dinner, I'm sure we’ll recount all the encouraging comments we’ve received from people who have been blessed so far by that book. I would love for you to share in our anniversary celebration by picking up your own copy of Joni & Ken: An Untold Love Story. And after you read it? Please pass it on to a couple you know who are dealing with a physical challenge in their marriage – remind them that God's grace can help them through the tough times, too. After all, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Joni and Ken I want to thank you for staying together, your marriage together have been a great comfort not only to the disabled but also to many people who have been set apart with no wheel chair in their life. I thank God for your great faith and belief in Jesus Christ who has been the strength of your relationship. I became blind 10 years ago and though I knew of you before my blindness, when I lost my sight the fullness of your lives together became a greater source of encouragement for me. I wish you a blessed anniversary which falls one day after my birthday and I look forward to seeing you in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ. John 11: 35 Jesus wept. But at the resurrection we will be laughing together. Yes His grace is sufficient for us, Anthony And Christine

I have not yet read the full story, however, can't wait for all the intricate details of how a short prayer measured into much of a journey. When I'm at church, I try not to miss any "heads" that are before me:) - your writing helped me to dare.

31-derful! To God be the glory! How would we ever be able to love unless He had loved us first and taught us? And without His grace, how could we understand forgiveness? He has been SO kind! I offer prayers of celebration & thanksgiving for His gift of you two to each other and then to the body of Christ. May your marriage continue to draw many to Him!!! Joy-fully in Him, mary

Dearest Joni and Ken, You have been such a blessing in my life! Joni, I read your first book when I was 16. I received a copy from Billy Graham. Your "Joni" book was my 2nd bible! I underlined so much! I read that book, I re-read it and re-read it and I read it again! I carried it in my pocketbook next to my bible. Our precious Lord Jesus Christ bless you both on this very special day! I love you both and can't wait to see you! love, your sister in Jesus, :Dorothy

I happily and excitedly share in your joy of celebration! We celebrate 10 years tomorrow. I gave the book to my parents and hope to be able to borrow it soon. (And just though of another couple to give a copy to.) I was introduced to your ministry through "We've all got wheels." I have a sister who is severely mentally handicapped. God bless you!
