It's Our Anniversary!

joni and ken on their wedding day. ken is giving cake to joni.For Ken and me, the first week of July marks a weeklong celebration – on July 3, we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Three decades ago, at Grace Community Church, Dr. John MacArthur pronounced us 'man and wife' – from there, we walked over to the reception where we sliced into our all-time favorite cake: champagne-custard cake with whipped cream frosting. So guess what we'll be treating the Joni and Friends staff to on the afternoon of July 3? You've got it: a full sheet of the best cake ever. Ken and I thank God for the prayers of his people who have supported us in our marriage – I'm married to a wonderful man who loves Christ, his wife, and the ministry we enjoy together :-). Onward and upward in the grace of God!

My family and I would like to wish you a happy anniversary of thirty years . You two are a true testament of how you can be happily married even with a disability. My husband and I in three years will celebrate 20 years and we have been through allot. So thanks again sincerely GINA MARIE MINISTRIES.

I edit out church magazine 'Open Door' I was placing this quote in it 'The weaker we feel, the harder we lean on God. And the harder we lean, the stronger we grow,' and wondered who 'Joni Eareckson Tada' was. Now I know. I have recently had a Cancer operation and Chemo Therapy, its been rough, but compared to your difficulties, your work and ministry, my life is a doddle. You are such an inspiration. May the Lord continue to Bless you in all you do and show me the path of such skill and determination that is your journey. Peace be with Ian Kiddie.
