God is using you to wrap His arms around families affected by disability or injury at Family Retreats here in the U.S. and at international locations worldwide. For our brave servicemen and women returning home from war with life-changing injuries and disabilities, Joni and Friends offers Wounded Warrior Getaway – the only military partnership program designed to minister to the needs of a soldier and his or her entire family. When weary and hurting families arrive at Family Retreat or Wounded Warrior Getaway, they find an oasis of hope that relieves burdened hearts and knits families together again. Powerful teaching from the Bible, honest man-to-man and woman-to-woman gatherings, quiet couple time, fun-filled family activities and tender times of whispered prayer bring about healing and transformation. “We came here thinking our marriage was over,” said one couple. “This was our last hope.” Families and marriages are made whole again through Jesus Christ at Family Retreats and Wounded Warrior Getaways. With your help, we’ll reach many more! This summer, twenty-two Family Retreats and three Wounded Warrior Getaways are planned here in the United States. Overseas, International Family Retreats will be held in seven different countries, strengthening and rebuilding families with the love of Jesus around the world.
